La línea de investigación Nutrición, Resiliencia y Salud Global se centra en la integración de las perspectivas de seguridad alimentaria y salud con el objetivo de mejorar el estado nutricional, y de salud, de las poblaciones vulnerables, con un enfoque especial en mujeres y niños de países de ingresos bajos y medios. Los proyectos en esta línea investigan los determinantes de la malnutrición, de las prácticas dietéticas inadecuadas y de la inseguridad alimentaria, así como su relación con el estado de salud o enfermedad. Además, se evalúa el impacto económico o el coste-efectividad de intervenciones destinadas a mejorar el estado nutricional, la dieta y la seguridad alimentaria a nivel poblacional.
Esta línea adopta un enfoque multidisciplinario y promueve el uso de una metodología mixta que incorpore tanto perspectivas cuantitativas como cualitativas, siempre que sea posible.
